The Basics
What is it?An escape room is a fun filled activity for teams to race the clock solving puzzles and unlocking clues. As tasks are completed your mission unfolds and the game progresses.
|
Where is it?We are located at 2106 1/2 Industrial Road, Kirksville, MO. We are located downstairs in the two story green building! Thousand Hills State park is a short 10 minute drive.
|
Who does this?Families, friends, co-workers, team mates, room mates, scouts, etc. The list goes on and on. If you have a group of people that like to have fun, this is for you! Children are welcome! Players under the age of 14 require a paying adult to be in the room with them at all times.

Planning Your Trip
ReservationsTo guarantee that you get the game and time slot that you want, we highly recommend reserving your game through our website. One person can make the reservation for the entire group, or each player can complete their own reservation. Check "private event" if you don't want others joining your group.

What to bringNo special equipment is needed. Just bring your teamwork and communication. All of your personal items go into the room with you, including cell phones. Hooks are available inside the rooms. Please no food or drinks. There are no online tickets to print off just tell us the name of your reservation.

Tips for a Great Game
No Experience NeededIf this is your first escape adventure, no need to fret! We have first time players every week and you could be next. One misconception is that we are for Trivia Junkies and A+ students. They are more than welcome but prior knowledge doesn't help you in the room. Cooperation and communication are the keys to success.
|
ArrivalPlease arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled game time. During this extra time, our staff will introduce you to locks you will find during your game and answer any questions. You will be asked to sign a waiver of liability. Arriving early also ensures that your game starts on time. You don't want to loose any precious minutes!
|
CluesOur staff are referred to as "Game Masters" and one of them, sometimes two, will be assigned to your game. They can offer you clues and helpful hints along the way. Ask for a clue when your team feels stuck. Our game masters will know just what to say to point you in the right direction. Sometimes they will ask you a question. They often know the answer. They are prodding you towards something or facilitating communication.

Safety is our priority
General Rules and ChoicesOur two main safety rules are (1) don't play with electrical outlets and (2) don't climb on top of or forcibly lift furniture.
The main reason for our liability waiver is choice. We can't control how someone may choose to use our space or props. You will never be asked to do something unsafe in our escape rooms. If our game master sees you attempting something that might harm you (such as climbing on furniture) they will ask you to stop. Otherwise, escape rooms are very safe! |
Unlocked and Not ScaryAnother misconception is that you will be locked in the room. No way! That breaks all basic fire codes. You are free to enter and exit the room at any time. We also do not do anything to attempt to scare you. No handcuffs, no blindfolds, no clowns... just no.
|
Children in Escape RoomsWe are a family friendly facility. All of our games are content appropriate for children. Children ages 8 and up have a great time unlocking the locks and finding clues.
We require at least one paying adult to be in the room if anyone in the group is under the age of 14. This isn't because our rooms are dangerous, but because our staff are not trained to handle all of the choices your child might make in the room. |
For the experienced gamer
If you've played a few escape games, you know that no two venues are exactly alike. These Q & A's are for you!
Game DesignWe don't buy our games from a franchise or turn-key company and we do design our games in-house. All of our games have been designed and played to minimize any flaws or mistakes. We've modified the games to fit our space and add a bit of personal flair. So all games should be new and unique to any person wanting to try the escape room. These rooms are designed for novice escape room goers.
|
Level of Tech / Gen 1-2-3The labeling of escape rooms as Generation 1, 2, or 3 is a heated debate among gamers. We won't go that far, but we will describe what we've got.
Our rooms have zero tech elements. They are all lock and key based. We haven't ventured into RFIDs yet. |
Clue DelieveryAll of our rooms use the same clue delivery system. Audio and video surveillance is set up in each room so our game masters can see and hear you as you progress through the game. Clues are given verbally so please let our staff know. They are used to helping new players and like to give nudges in the right direction.
